Objective: Design a logo to an internal tool for Norton Rose Fulbright, a leading international law firm.
Getting insight (aha!) about Norton's brand from the team and from examining the firm's website, we were able to narrow our design focus to a set of attributes that encapsulated the tool's core essence while staying within the existing visual language of the company. These guiding attributes would include words like "clarity" and "smart" - themes that were the basis for idea exploration.

After some initial pencil sketches, I sat down to flesh out several ideas, although it was starting to become clear which was shaping to be the most promising. It's always good to begin with more than a handful of options! You can see some of these drafts below, alongside the chosen design, which was the best fit for our brief's criteria.
